Premier League Transfer Gossip [VIDEO] Germany's Marco Reus Yet To Extend Borussia Dortmund Contract, EPL Standings Leaders Chelsea FC Top Choice For Bundesliga Forward?
Transfer gossip in the Barclays English Premier League pretty much always has EPL fans on the edge of their seats, and this week's rumors are no exception. The main subject of this week's speculation is Germany's star forward Marco Reus, who has yet to sign a contract extension with his Bundesliga squad Borussia Dortmund. Whether or not this means a transfer to the Premier League, we can't be certain, but reports are claiming that teams at the top of the standings are reportedly reaching out to the star with some impressive deals. The latest news is that EPL leader Chelsea FC could be in the lead to sign Reus, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City also vying for the star.
Fox Sports compiled the latest transfer gossip from the past week, reporting that Chelsea could add the German forward to the squad pretty soon.
Other reports suggest that Reus has been taking up Spanish to learn the language. Perhaps he's getting ready for new teammates, most likely on Man U? Check out this coverage here:
We're not sure what to think about this transfer gossip, but one of Reus' fellow 2014 World Cup winners from Germany, Bayern Munich captain Phillip Lahm, has publicly pleaded with the star to remain at Dortmund and therefore within the Bundesliga.
"It is first of all a good thing that quality national team players, who can strengthen any team, stay in the league," Lahm said to Sky Deutschland, according to The Daily Star. "It is an advantage for the Bundesliga if the stars choose to remain in Germany."
