'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Spoilers- Sarah Drew Delivers Baby, Will It Affect April & Jackson's Storyline?
Grey's Anatomy has added another baby to their ever-growing family. Actress, Sarah Drew, who plays April Kepner on the series, has just welcomed a baby girl into the world, with her husband Peter Lanfer. And it seems as though their household is going to be pretty busy now, as they are already the proud parents to 2-year-old son Micah Emmanuel. Sarah and Peter decided on the name Hannah Mali Rose Lanfer for their daughter.
According to People, the star welcomed her newborn with her husband on December 3 at 6:07 in the morning. The baby was supposed to arrive closer to Christmas time, but she was three weeks early, and weighed in at 6 lbs., 14 oz., and measured 21 inches long.
The couple released a joint statement about how excited they are is about adding the newborn to their expanding family.
"We are thrilled to welcome baby Hannah Mali Rose to our family," the couple said in a statement via E! News. "Although we kept her gender a surprise until her birthday, Micah somehow knew she'd be a girl from the moment we told him we were pregnant. He is over the moon to be big brother to sweet Hannah."
So how will Sarah's delivery of her baby impact the storyline on Grey's Anatomy? Well as we now know, Jackson and April's baby has a serious medical condition that could end up claiming its life.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jerrika Hinton, who plays Stephanie Edwards, hinted that her character is going to feel a lot of responsibility about what will happen to the couple's baby.
"There a lot of guilt because she's the one that found it out, so that makes it messy for her internally," the star explained. "This is a genuinely horrible thing to happen to somebody."
Grey's Anatomy will return next year to air it's remain 16-episodes of the season.
