Fargo season two is almost underway, and with the new season is coming two new leading stars. Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have both been cast to star in the critically acclaimed FX series, which will began filming next month in Canada. The second season will take place before the events of the first, which included stars Allison Tolman, Martin Feeman, Billy Bob Thornton, and Colin Hanks. The new season will consist of ten episodes and we couldn't be more excited for this series to make its return to our TVs.

According to E! News, Dunst is set to play Peggy Blomquist, who is described as a beautician hoping to move to the big city. The character is said to be very naïve, looking to find her place in the world while also trying to figure out who she is as a person.

Jesse Plemons is set to play Dunst's husband, Ed, who is working as a butcher's assistant, and who is very supportive of everything that his wife does even though it might be foreign to him.

According to People magazine, the new season will take place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as well as Luverne, Minnesota and will be set in 1976 which is more than 11 years before the first season, that took pace in the winter of 1987.

Noah Crawley, the executive producer on the series spoke out to Zap2It about the show and how he sees the different time periods of each season.

"I like the idea that somewhere out there is a big, leather-bound book that's the history of true crime in the Midwest," Crawley explained. "The movie was chapter 4, season 1 was chapter 9 and this is chapter 2."

The show is expected to air sometime next year.
