One of the biggest pieces of news coming out of Sony's 2014 PlayStation Experience keynote happened to be what wasn't said during a day of great gaming announcements. We didn't get an update on the ever in-development The Last Guardian. Gamers have been dying to get to see more of this game, but all we have for you is an update from creator Fumito Ueda - and it's actually a very promising bit of information. Apparently, the development of the game is now "under completely new conditions, making us all wonder if the PS3 game is now a PS4 title!

In this week's issue of Dengeki PlayStation, Ueda offered his new update on the long awaited title.

"The Last Guardian, by which I mean all the hardships and the unforeseen amount of time required than what was originally thought. Talks with Sony Computer Entertainment on The Last Guardian have been ironed out, and we're making progress under completely new conditions," Ueda said (translated by Kotaku). "I'm also working on some other things that I'll hopefully be able to show in time if progress is smooth."

As IGN and Gamespot explain, the creator did not elaborate on what he meant by "new conditions," but we're all assuming that the game, which was announced in 2009, will be developed for the Next-Gen console, PlayStation 4.
