Like most episodic video games, players have to choose what the character does in the game as actions pop up, but Life is Strange involves time-travel, relationships and looming death to add to the pressure.

In an interview earlier this year with Polygon, developer Jean-Maxime Moris got to talk about the upcoming release from his studio.

"We came up with this system of short-term, mid-term and long-term consequences," he said of the travelling aspect of the game. "But you might very well be surprised down the line, because the mid-term consequences might actually be negative, or the long-term ones might be negative. You'll always be left guessing."

Here is the official synopsis of this game:

Life is Strange tells the story of Max, a photography student who suddenly discovers the power to go back in time. It is through this supernatural talent she manages to save Chloe, her childhood friend from certain death. When they meet after a separation of five years, Max realizes that Chloe has changed: in fact, since the death of his father, his life has not been easy ... A series of strange events descends on the small town of Arcadia Bay, and two teenage girls are mixed with a dark investigating the disappearance of a student. One thing is certain: the reunion will disrupt their lives.
