'White Collar' Season 6 Recap: Matt Bomer's Neal Caffrey, Tim DeKay's Peter Burke Meet “Au Revoir” Series Finale!
After months and months of teasing, the countdown has finally arrived as USA Network airs the last Season 6 episode of White Collar. Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), and Elizabeth Burke (Tiffani Thiessen) say farewell with their last con in the series finale, "Au Revoir."
After saying goodbye to June Ellington (Diahann Carroll), Neal reminds Mozzie (Wille Garson) about the first time they met and hands him the Queen of hearts. Neal then shows up at Peter's place with a gift for the baby boy. Elizabeth tells Neal she wants him to take special care of Peter during the heist.
At the airport, Neal dresses up as an airline captain and snags a security key from one of the stewardesses. Peter and Matthew Keller (Ross McCall) drive their way there, passing the security gates, to one of the hangers. Right where it's supposed to be is the locked vault with all their money.
With Neal and Peter watching, the heist team quickly unlocks the vault and steals the money. Using the old tunnels, the heist team uses the system to get their stolen loot across. Mozzie works his magic, stealing half of the money from the robbers.
At the meeting spot, Diana (Marsha Thomason) and Jones (Sharif Atkins) charge in with the rest of their team. The two face-off against the leader with the Pink Panthers, who attempts to reach for his gun. Rather than die, the leader of the Pink Panthers gives up and is put in handcuffs.
While the Pink Panthers are arrested, Keller and Neal make a getaway. Neal put on his tracking anklet back on, so that Peter could follow them. While Nozzle leaves with his share of the money, Neal and Keller fight over the gun, which ends up being fired.
Mozzie and Peter turn when they hear a loud gunshot. While Neal lies on the floor, bloody from his gunshot wound, Keller runs out to the street, holding a bystander hostage. Just when Keller is about to pull the trigger, Peter shoots first, hitting Keller in the head.
Before the paramedics take him away, Neal tells Petter that he is his best friend. At the morgue, Mozzie has a breakdown, refusing to believe that Neal is dead; that he's pulling a con. When all is said and done, Peter sits alone in the hallway, crying for his dead best friend.
A year has passed since Neal's death. Jones has been promoted at the FBI. Diana is packing up her things before heading to her new job in Washington. Peter's team is heading out to bigger things, thanks to the Pink Panthers bust.
Peter then makes a visit to Mozzie, who is playing card tricks in the street. The two reminisce about the old days before Peter invites him over to his home. Mossy ends up reading a bedtime story to baby Neal.
When baby Neal starts crying, Elizabeth leaves while Peter takes a closer look at the wine bottle. He then starts digging into the case, taking out the key. The key belongs to a storage container Neal had rented.
In the storage container, Peter starts to put everything together. After giving Keller a unloaded weapon, Neal faked his own death to gain his freedom. Peter smiles as he leaves, knowing Neal is still alive and planning his next heist at the Louvre.
Neal is living it up in Paris in the series finale of White Collar. Readers, what did you think of Au Revoir?
