With the first season of FX'The Strain spreading out onto Hulu, viewers are already anxious to see the upcoming Season 2. Based on the Dark Horse Comics adaption his own vampire novels, will visionary director Guillermo Del Toro commit Nora (Mía Maestro) 100% to fighting The Master?

The first season follows Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) as they discover a deadly vampire plague spreading across New York City. As they search for a cure, an old and retired vampire hunter, Abraham Setrakian, (David Bradley) and a rat exterminator, Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand) join the crusade to face off an ancient evil. They must all work together to save the world from The Master.

In the season finale, Nora sought revenge against the infected Goth rock star who murdered her mother. With her mother bitten, Nora had no choice but to decapitate her head off. After breaking down and shedding tears for her dead mother, Nora was consumed with vengeance; the start of her own dark path.

In an interview with ComicBook, Maestro reveals there are "amazing new ideas" in store for the second season and that she anticipates a "big character development in terms of who she is and what she becomes in terms of what she had to go through in Season 1 in killing her mother and leaving her past behind, committing herself 100% to fighting this battle."

As we previously mentioned, the Argentine songstress expected "a more hardened Nora...a person who's not afraid to die. For her not to have any second thoughts about fighting, just cold with nothing to lose. She's becoming more of a warrior."

USA Today has announced that the first seasons of the FX and the FXX produced series The Strain, Married and Worst will be exclusively streamed on the subscription-based Hulu Plus (for $7.99 per month).
