Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden Engaged! 'Annie' & 'Sex Tape' Star To Marry Good Charlotte Singer- Couple 'Want Babies'

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are engaged! The star of Annie and Sex Tape is reportedly set to marry the Good Charlotte singer and, according to a friend of the famous couple, is super keen on 'having babies'. It comes just after the movie star — whose dating history includes Justin Timberlake and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez — was spotted on her Annie press junket sporting some new jewelry, and now sources have come forward to confirm that she and Madden — who was formerly engaged to Australian actress and singer Sophie Monk — are set to tie the knot.

US Weekly reported the engagement, and quote a source close to the couple — who have been dating since May — as saying "Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them."

They went on to say, "Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."

According to US Weekly, 35 year old Benji — whose twin brother and bandmate Joel Madden is married to reality star Nicole Richie, who, as reported by Mstars News, introduced Benji and Cameron — is also the one who was pushing for the pair to get married. Quoting a friend of the rockstar, they revealed that Benji is "more traditional" than 42 year old Diaz. They went on to say the Diaz is more concerned about having kids than getting married.

"She really doesn't care about getting married but wants babies," the friend reportedly told US Weekly. "He wants to get engaged and married first."

Of course, this anonymous 'friend' is completetly contradicting what Cameron told Esquire only a couple of months ago, saying that she was happy not having children and was "never drawn to being a mother." 

As Gawker say, Cameron has "absolutely refused to comment on her marital status in recent interviews," but according to People, the engagement is a move that doesn't come as a surprise, as the Charlie's Angels stunner was spotted at a premiere for her new movie Annie toting what looked like an engagement ring. Says the magazine "the star showed off a slim stacked band of diamonds that got people talking."
