Randy Moss' Son Thad Moss May Be Better Than His Dad [WATCH]
Remember Randy Moss? Of course you do. He was one of the best and boldest wide receivers in NFL history, having set the single-season touchdown reception (27, 2007) and rookie single season touchdown reception (17, 1997) records. He sits second all-time on the list of regular season touchdown receptions. But his son, Thad Moss, may turn out to be even better.
Thad is quickly becoming one of the top recruits in the 2016 class at the tight end position. Thad is a junior in a high school in North Carolina who was recently offered a scholarship from Boston College, according to CBS Boston.
At 6-foot-5-inches, Thad Moss has the size to be a dominant offensive and blocking force. He also has his father’s speed, which gives him the ability to outrun defenders and beat them to the end zone and he plays defensive end. But when it comes to the Moss family, the first thing that comes to mind is offense.
Father Randy came up as a star receiver for the Minnesota Vikings before moving on to the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots. Moss was known for his controversial behavior as well as stupendous talent. He also played briefly for the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers, according to Football Reference. He was a first round selection out of Marshall in 1998, where he was named an All-American twice.
Whether or not Thad signs with Boston College remains to be seen. He still has time and other offers are bound to roll in.
“BC is a young football team that’s building towards getting better every day. And I like what BC is academically,” Moss told EagleAction.com.
