'Marvel's Daredevil' Spoilers: Will Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock Face "Extreme Violence" In Netflix Series?

After making its grand entrance at the New York Comic Con, audiences are anxious to binge-watch the highly anticipated Netflix superhero series, Marvel's Daredevil. Now that another official photo has been released, will audiences see Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) push himself to "extreme violence or gratuitous nudity?"

As we previously mentioned, Matt Murdock (Cox) was just a young boy when he was struck blind after a near fatal car accident. Though everyone thinks he lives in complete darkness, radioactive chemicals gave him back his sight and heightened his other senses. By day, Murdock is the blind lawyer attending courtroom battles, but by night, Daredevil serves out his own brand of justice protecting Hell's Kitchen from crime.

At the popular east coast convention, audience saw exclusive footage of the man without fear in action. The vigilante will not be wearing his signature red costume, but more of a black ninja-like outfit. Entertainment Weekly has released a new image featuring Daredevil beating someone up, with an NYC taxi in the background. In the next image, Murdock walks the street, using his cane to feel the sidewalk.

Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb tells EW, ''We've always approached this as a crime drama first, superhero show second.''

Showrunner Steven DeKnight adds, "It's a little grittier and edgier than Marvel has gone before, but we're not looking to push it to extreme violence or gratuitous nudity.''

As we previously mentioned, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer scribe teased in a Twitter Q&A that it was up to Marvel if another photo would be released in time for the Christmas holidays. The Daredevil showrunner also stated the Netflix show would be rated "PG-16-ish."

Marvel's Daredevil is expected to premiere on Netflix in May 2015. Readers, are you excited to see Charlie Cox as the man without fear?
