'You Are So Beautiful' Singer Joe Cocker, 70, Dies From Lung Cancer [TWITTER REACTS]
MStars News has learned that legendary singer Joe Cocker died Monday, Dec. 22, after battling lung cancer.
According to NBC News, the 70-year-old was born in Sheffield, England, and died at his home in Crawford, Colorado.
Cocker was known for his raspy voice and was the genius behind hits including "Up Where We Belong" and "You Are So Beautiful."
Cocker's death was confirmed by Sony Music, as social media begins to react to the news.
The rocker's career spans more than five decades and includes performances at Woodstock, and one of his last at the benefit concert for Cornell Dupree at B.B. King's Blues Club in New York. In September, Billy Joel revealed that Cocker's health was fading during a concert at Madison Square Garden. Joel said his fellow friend was "not very well right now" and requested that he be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
