50 Cent Files Lawsuit Against Headphones Maker, Definitely Not Dead
50 Cent is suing the headphones maker who created his Sleek by 50 wireless headphones. This also proves that the rapper is not dead, though recent rumors suggests he died from a car accident.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, partnered with Sleek Audio LLC and claims that he had loaned them $285,000 back in 2010. The company presented the new headphones a year later. According to the rapper and the company's agreement, once the headphones sales revenue reaches $750,000, Sleek Audio LLC would need to start repaying him.
Sales reportedly surpassed $750,000 on February 2011, and Jackson requested for his loan of $285,000 to be paid back plus $61,429 interest.
However, Sleek Audio LLC is not cooperating because the loan has been nullified since 50 Cent started to team with another headphones company SMS Audio.
According to documents obtained by the Florida's Bradenton Herald, Sleek Audio LLC stated, "Sleek would have NEVER borrowed money from Jackson or allowed him to invest in its company had it known that Jackson would ultimately use this tactic [of misusing the money] to steal its design, technology and headphones."
