Monday Night Raw Results 12/22/14: WWE Raw Recap December 22, 2014: Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler
The December 22, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Target Center in Minneapolis and begins with Hulk Hogan dressed up as Ho Ho Hogan.
Hogan says he will be giving presents to the WWE Superstars and the WWE Universe tonight. He previews Roman Reigns vs. Big Show later in the night, along with Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight.
John Cena's music hits and he says Hogan is as iconic as Santa Claus. He makes a joke about wanting a Frozen toy and sings "Let It Go." Yes, really. He then shows a clip from Raw last week when Brock Lesnar attacked him in the steel cage in his match against Seth Rollins. Cena says he lost last week, but he wants another shot at Rollins tonight. He asks Hogan to book the match.
Rollins' music hits and he comes out with J&J Security. Rollins says this is ridiculous and nobody wants to hear Cena run his mouth anymore. He calls them both "absolute legends" in their respective eras, but now it's Seth Rollins' time. He says The Authority should be running Raw tonight, not Hogan. He demands Hogan force Cena to bring them back.
Cena says Rollins is putting the crowd to sleep and tells Rollins to come down for a fight. But whether Rollins does or not, Cena is not bringing the Authority back. Hogan interjects and says the two will have a match right now. Cena defeats Rollins with the Attitude Adjustment after he AAs both Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble.
Kane does a Bah Humbug vignette.
Fandango (w/Rosa Mendes) defeats Jack Swagger.
Dolph Ziggler talks about his ladder match with Luke Harper at TLC and says he will go out there tonight and steal the show.
A New Day vignette airs.
R-Truth defeats Adam Rose with a roll up after a brief dance off. The Bunny, who is in a neck brace, checks on him and Rose plants him with a spinebuster. He attacks the Bunny some more and knees his head into the steel steps. Rose rips off the neck brace and throws the Bunny into the barricade.
Roman Reigns defeats Big Show by count out when he tosses the giant over the announce table.
Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose, who says he found a man with a white beard at Mall of America who he took for Santa Claus and asked him to deliver Bray Wyatt for Christmas.
Natalya (w/Tyson Kidd) defeats Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella) when she counters into a small package. Nikki tries to get involved but Nattie knocks her off the apron.
Los Matadores (w/El Torito) defeat Goldust and Stardust.
Backstage in the boiler room somewhere, Luke Harper says he will give himself a Christmas present by beating Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship.
After he takes a beating for much of the match (and prior to the match), Ziggler finally puts Harper away with the Zig Zag. Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews him after the match and Ziggler says he pulled it off because of the crowd. He says he has scratched and clawed his way for everything he has and he won't let anyone take what he has away from him.
Rowdy Roddy Piper brings out Lana and Rusev for Piper's Pit. Lana, of course, insults Christmas in America. She shows the clip from SmackDown last week in which Rusev assaulted Ryback. Rusev threatens Piper, who says he got them a Christmas gift. Ryback comes out with a big bow on his chest. He rushes the ring and unloads on Rusev. He sets up for the Meathook Clothesline, but Rusev rolls out of the ring.
Alicia Fox, Naomi, and Emma defeat Paige, Summer Rae, and Cameron. The women were dressed like Mrs. Claus.
The Miz (w/Damien Mizdow) defeats Jey Uso (w/Jimmy Uso) when he hooks the tights on a roll up.
Bray Wyatt hits the ring and sings "it's the most wonderful time of the year." He says people surround themselves with loved ones during the holidays because it makes them feel safe, but they're not. In his world, there is only suffering, evil, and pain, and he is the king. He says he has taken Ambrose to his world before, and now he will do it again.
Wyatt wins the lengthy match after he throws Ambrose face first into the candy cane kendo stick in the corner. He moves to attack Ambrose after the match, but the Lunatic Fringe catches him with a fire extinguisher blast and drives Bray through a table. Ambrose lays in the wreckage smiling as the show goes off the air.
