Arrow Season 3 Spoilers: Thea's DJ Boyfriend Returns

Fans have been praising Season 3 of Arrow thus far, but one new character has received almost universal hatred. We speak of course of the DJ, played Austin Butler.

Fans have come up with numerous hilarious jokes about the DJ and have wished for his demise several times despite his solitary appearance on the show. Some have suggested Malcolm Merlyn beat his daughter's new boy with his bare hands, while others have wanted Oliver to tell Ra's Al Ghul that the DJ killed Sara so that the leader of the League of Assassins takes him out.

At any rate, the "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine reveals the DJ will be back sooner rather than later.

Ausiello: We haven't seen the last of Thea's DJ-boytoy, played by Austin Butler. 'Like a lot of our characters, there's maybe a little bit more to him than meets the eye,' exec producer Greg Berlanti teases. And will her papa Malcolm Merlyn have a take on the new guy in his daughter's life? Says Berlanti with a laugh: 'It would be surprising if he didn't.'"
