The View feud between Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell has reached a boiling point ever since their on-air brawl regarding the topic of racism in America. Now, ABC is looking to drastically change the program by shockingly bringing back creator Barbara Walters!

"They've been talking about just letting it run its course this season and bringing it back with Barbara and a new panel in the fall," a source told Radar Online. "They've talked about how to creatively bring her back and maybe use a little comedy, like it was all just a bad dream."

One of the major issues for the new panel this season has been the tug-of-war between Whoopi as the moderator and Rosie O. as a regular co-host. The Flintstones actress is used to being the one calling the shots instead of taking cues from other people.

"The challenge is Rosie feels like she's giving up. She wants to fix it, but doesn't think they can fix it," the source said. "She hasn't given up on her being the future of the show, but she knows now what's going on with her and Whoopi is not something that can survive. She doesn't think there's a way to save the relationship, but she hopes the show can be saved."

"You have to have two people who want to [make it work] and she realized after the argument that Whoopi doesn't want to," the source continued. "And she thinks she hasn't gotten a fair chance to do the show her way because of Whoopi."

As MStars News reported, this isn't the first time the comedians battled it out behind-the-scenes of the daytime chatfest. They had previously feuded over discussing the Bill Cosby scandal and the Ferguson, Missouri protests on the show.

"There's terrible frustration and there are problems," a source told the NY Daily News. "Whoopi didn't want to talk about Cosby and Ferguson, Rosie did — how could you not? These are topics that are uncomfortable for everyone, but it's The View and it's their job to talk about topics that might make some people tense."

"Rosie was yelling at everyone. First, she had a fight with Whoopi and then she had a fight with the producers," according to the source.

Do you think Barbara will return to the talk show she started or will she stay retired?
