Michael Clarke Duncan, Girlfriend Omarosa Manigault Were Engaged To Be Married January

Michael Clarke Duncan and his girlfriend Omarosa Manigault emotionally expressed that Duncan "was the love of my life" after the 6-foot-5-tall actor died from a heart attack on September 3, 2012. The two were secretly engaged to be married in January of 2013, according to TMZ.

Unfortunately, Duncan was hospitalized from July 13 after a myocardial infarction left him in bad condition. He had stayed at the hospital with Manigault by his side but was never able to fully recover, sources say. Manigault reportedly searched for the best doctors to be flown to the hospital to save her fiance's life.

Only close friends and family were aware of their engagement. Duncan and Manigault had been preparing for the wedding even throughout the period he was in the hospital believing that Duncan would recover.

An official statement expressed, "Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date."

TMZ cameras were able to catch Manigault at the airport crying uncontrollably as she mourned for her lost love.
