Beyonce & Jay Z Iceland Visit For Hova's Birthday: Carter-Knowles Family Share Pics For A White Christmas [PHOTOS]
Beyoncé and Jay Z offered up a bit of Christmas cheer for the holidays, posting their private snaps from their recent Iceland trip full of snow and fun times. The Carter-Knowles headed to Iceland to celebrate Jay Z's 45th birthday, with Beyoncé posting a slew of photos to her website and instagram, showing the pair snowmobiling, enjoying a helicopter ride, wrestling in the snow, checking out a glacier, and going for a dip in a geothermal spa. There's also a photo of the pair with a group of other snowmobilers giving the 'Hands Up, Don't Shoot' gesture in support of the Ferguson protests.
People Magazine report that the first couple of hip hop "stayed at Iceland's ritzy The Trophy Lodge," which People say is billed as a "private luxury resort and spa" that is "fit for a king"."
According to the magazine, the two hung out near Langjökull glacier and, according to a local paper, the resort they stayed at is a favorite for rich Russians. Perhaps Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov gave Jay and Bey the tip?
Either way, the New York Post's Page Six say that the pair were also hanging out and "bathing in the famed Blue Lagoon geothermal spa".
Merry Christmas, everyone. You can check out the pictures below and here.
First off, though... Happy Birthday, Jay.
Considering Iceland is where the snowy scenes of Game of Thrones are shot, perhaps Iceland can somehow convince the showrunners to incorporate Jon Snow throwing a Hova diamond, like Bey and Jay below, just for kicks?
Auditioning for the role of Bond villain henchmen? Or simply going for a spin on a snow mobile? You be the judge.
Snowy helicopter rides are the best kind of helicopter rides. Y'know. So we imagine. Also. What's up with Jay's rooster get up?
The good news? In Iceland you don't need a refrigerator for your champagne; nor do you need to put it on ice once it's opened. Just pop it outside and you're set.
Oddly enough, champagne is always cold when you're toasting a celebratory helicopter ride in the snow:
When in Iceland... How about a Beyonce snow angel?
And no, we're not sure what this is either:
