Amanda Bynes 2012: Hit And Run Charges and Jail Time Expected

Amanda Bynes' "hit and runs", DUI and her famous mugshot were the highlights for the actress' year.  The young movie star may spend jail time for two crash cases that occurred on April 10 and August 4, 2012.   She was also reportedly charged and arrested with DUI on April 6th after her vehicle brushed into a L.A. cop's vehicle.  TMZ reports that she has been charged with "two counts misdemeanor hit-and-run" from two incidents where she crashed and apparently drove off.

A spokesperson for Los Angeles City Frank Mateljan said the actress was officially charged Tuesday (September 4) and will need to appear in court on September 27th.  

Each hit-and-run could rack up 6 months of jail time for the 26-year-old.  Bynes' representative have not responded to inquiries about the incident.

However, Bynes has defended herself via her personal Twitter time and time again.

After the April 6th DUI incident, she tweeted, "Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink.  Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end."

After stories flooded the internet about first alleged hit-and-run incident, she tweeted on May 27, "I can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me.  I was not in any hit and runs. I don't drink so the DUI is false."
