5 Reasons Grant Gustin, Mark Hamill, John Wesley Shipp's 'The Flash' CW Reunion Rules in 2015! [WATCH]
While The Flash is on its winter break on the CW network, plans are already underway for the upcoming second half of the first season in 2015. From DC Comics' Rogues gallery, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his father Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp) are about to face a deadly and cunning Trickster (played by Mark Hamill).
In our first recap, Barry (Gustin) was struck by lightning and thrown into a vat of chemicals, After the particle accelerator explosion, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) have been studying Barry's newfound super-speed powers. As the scarlet speedster, they have been helping fight against the metahumans, who use their powers to harm Central City.
Here are 5 reasons Hamill and Shipp's The Flash reunion is must-see:
5) The Originals Are Back
We previously mentioned, Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor Mark Hamill will reprise his role as Trickster. Back in the early '90s, John Wesley Shipp played the original scarlet speedster and the Village of the Damned actor was his nemesis. It would be so awesome if Hamill and Shipp had a scene together. They need to throw in Amanda Pays as Dr. Tina McGee to blow your mind.
4) It's Silence Of The Lambs With Superheroes In It
On his official Twitter account, Hamill tweeted, "Dreaming of dangerous, diabolically depraved new tricks is an unexpected holiday treat. Thank you @CW_TheFlash" In the comics, James Jesse is more of a laughingstock than a serious threat. But on the TV show, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Barry need the Trickster's help to defeat a deadly copycat.
3) Who Could The Copycat Be?
The producers have brought Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and the Weather Wizard onto the TV screen. Could the copycat be Axel Walker, aka Trixter? Or if they want to follow the CBS show, Trickster could have an obsessed female fan calling herself Prank.
2) Another Rogues member?
The Rogues are a super villain team lead by Captain Cold (played by Wentworth Miller). With Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, if the show creators wanted to add a bigger Prison Break reunion, Robert Knepper could show up as the Clock King again. How cool would it be to have the Prison Break guys with Luke Skywalker?
1) What's the Reverse-Verse Flash planning?
In the mid-season finale, Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) may or may not be the Reverse-Flash. He might even be Professor Zoom in disguise. When the show returns, Well's story arc will continue and he's definitely planning something that will rock the Flash's world.
The Flash returns on the CW in the new year, January 20. Readers, are you excited to see Mark Hamill as the Trickster?
