VMAs 2012 Winners: Are Boy Bands Going To Dominate Music Industry From Now? [POLL]

The MTV VMA Awards 2012 winners list was dominated by One Direction who took home three awards, winning all three categories they were nominated in. The British boy band is not only proving their growing popularity, but they may be giving the world a hint of what may be coming in the upcoming years: more boy bands.

Boy bands were very popularity back in the 90s when bands like 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys, and Nsync were the talk of town. Music fans were able to pick their favorite bandmate and still love and support the entire group.

Solo artists like Lady Gaga and Madonna need to continually re-invent themselves in order to keep their fans entertained.

Just recently, Backstreet Boys announced that they are working on their new album amidst their 20th anniversary.

Do you think we'll be seeing more boy bands appearing in the pop music?
