Anna Kendrick on her Prince Charming, Talks 'Pitch Perfect 2', Red Pandas, Green Bay Packers With Seth Meyers
Into The Woods and Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick isn't looking for a Prince Charming and doesn't date 'quarterback types'... but she is really, really into red pandas. While Into The Woods is becoming the surprise hit of winter, hitting the Late Night With Seth Meyers couch the actress also talked about meeting the Green Bay Packers on the set of Pitch Perfect 2, and trying not to deafen Chris Pine. It comes just before the release of a new interview in which she also explains what her ideal Prince Charming is....
But first, what's up with her and with red pandas? "I'm so obsessed with them," Kendrick told Meyers, "now that I've seen one in person that I've started to reimagine my whole life, like what do I have to do, how badly do I have to sell out to be rich enough to buy a red panda. Like to go crazy Wayne Newton style to be one of those people who have wild animals. I want, like, a farm of red pandas."
Kendrick also explained that she hasn't been home to Maine "in years" and explained that her home had changed so much that there was now a 'southern themed' bar there... "I didn't know we needed that. Are there northern-themed bars in Louisiana. A ski lodge in Georgia?"
"It made me feel very out of touch," she added.
As for Into The Woods, it turns out Kendrick was already a fan. "Yeah. I saw the VHS tape when I was like 10 I think, so it's been a part of my life for a long time, I'm just so happy so many people saw it."

And it turns out Clay Matthews and his Green Bay Packers teammates are big fans of Pitch Perfect... so much so they're in the sequel, which is out May 15.
"We had the Green Bay Packers!" exclaimed Kendrick. "They're fans! They were talking about ti so much, our producers were like 'we should probably ask them to be in it'. They showed up and they could do the whole final number back to front. Like, knew it inside out. The girls were like 'I don't know what's happening.'"
Meyers also asked Kendrick what it was like for the diminutive star to be standing next to a Green Bay Packer. "It's amazing we're the same species," she replied. "It was like being next to a blue whale."

In keeping with the Into The Woods theme, though, as UPI report, Kendrick told Fashion Magazine - whose February edition she graces the cover of - that "The wrong kind of guy to fall in love with is the guy who will let go of the steering wheel as a joke. A guy who finds it amusing to make you uncomfortable-which is more common than you'd think-is someone you want to avoid."
As for her taste? "I've never really gone for the razzle-dazzle types, no quarterbacks, no flashy guys and no Prince Charmings," she shared. "Chris Pine's version of Prince Charming is so funny, and so on-point, and very much all style and no substance."
The February edition of Fashion Magazine with Anna Kendrick on the cover is on sale Jan. 12.
