WWE Rumors: Triple H, Sting, WrestleMania 31, Royal Rumble
The latest round of WWE rumors deals with Triple H, Sting, WrestleMania 31, and the 2015 Royal Rumble. So without further ado, let's dive into the good stuff and see what the Internet has to say. As always, these are just rumors, so please treat them as such.
Reports headed into Monday Night Raw this week said WWE had a "major angle" planned for the show that would have implications on the Royal Rumble and possibly even WrestleMania 31. Some fans thought about Sting, while others thought about Daniel Bryan or even Roman Reigns. Well it appears, believe it or not, that the closing segment in which The Authority fired Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan was the major angle.
Earlier in the show, Triple H made a few comments about Sting, as he referred to him as a painted-up freak. This is reportedly not a coincidence, as the two seem set to face off at WrestleMania 31. As always, this is subject to change.
In a much more interesting development, Seth Rollins was added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble. This was apparently done to keep fans on their toes and reinforce the idea that Rollins could cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase at any time. It also ensures that neither Cena nor Lesnar have to get pinned or submit. This does NOT mean that Rollins is winning the title, but apparently that idea is still in play.
