Teresa Giudice's Prison Work Of Choice Is The Kitchen: Find Out How 'RHONJ' Star Did Behind Bars 48 Hours Into Her Sentencing

Teresa Giudice has been in prison for two days now, and it seems things are going to be just fine if you ask her lawyer James L. Leonard Jr.

"I think she hopes to turn it into something positive," Leonard said during an interview with E! News.

"She indicated that if she had her choice to work she would like to work in the kitchen facility because she's obviously a good cook," he said.

James claims that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is trying "to take it one day at a time" and seemed to have positive vibes while chowing down at a local diner before checking in to the Danbury Federal Correction Institution early Monday morning, Jan. 5.

"This is a very strong family and they're going to be fine," Leonard said.

He added that Joe Giudice was emotional when his wife had to report to prison to serve her 15-month sentence.

"He told me that obviously it was a difficult day, but that everybody was doing OK. He's a strong man, very strong family man, and a good father," he said.

Leonard explained Teresa's time behind bars as:

"Typically, you have to do 85 percent of that sentence, so that calculation comes out to a little under 13 months," he said.

"Our projections are that if nothing changes with her sentence, she should be released sometime in early December," he said.

MStars News previously reported that Joe will began his sentencing right after his wife gets released. He will be serving 41 months behind bars. According to E!, Joe will start his term in March 2016.

"There will certainly be an overlap where they will be together, which will be taxing on him and the girls," Leonard said.

Giudice's lawyer remains positive when it comes to the family and how they will do during this hard time.

He says:

"These are very strong people and they're going to get through this."
