Miley Cyrus Engaged: 'Fake' Scissor-Brandishing Husband Arrested for Trespassing
A man (not by the name of Miley Cyrus' fiancé Liam Hemsworth, to be clear) showed up to the young starlet's L.A. home early Saturday morning baring a pair of green-and-black scissors, banging on the front door and demanding to see his wife before police arrived at the scene and promptly arrested him for trespassing and burglary.
When 40-year-old Jason Rivera couldn't gain access to the 19-year-old star's home after jumping the fence into her yard, he began banging on the door and throwing himself up against the side of the house in a fit of rage. Police were called (not by stalker-prone Cyrus, who thankfully was not home at the time) and when they arrived they found Rivera hiding out in the bushes, lighting candles and brandishing a pair of scissors.
Officers threatened to Taser him if he did not come out with his hands up - Rivera eventually willingly obliged. Upon further inspection, the Cyrus "stalker" was found to have scissors, money, ID, and notes in his possession - including a large pink heart cutout tucked underneath his shirt.
While Rivera was being led away by police, a local television station supposedly heard the crazed fan stating, "I am friends with Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years."
According to Lt. Brian Wendling of the LAPD, "He thinks they were married. And I would say delusional is a good characterization of him."
Rivera was taken into custody and had bail set at $1,000. Sources confirm that this is not Rivera's first run-in with the law - he "has a lengthy record in Texas, including a trespassing charge."
Wonder how jealous Rivera is of "The Hunger Games" heartthrob Liam Hemsworth, considering he is currently engaged to Rivera's so-called "wife."
