Kevin Gates Explains His Relationship With His Cousin [VIDEO]

New Orleans rapper Kevin Gates may have shocked his fans after revealing that he had sex and a relationship with his cousin, but now MStars News has learned that the rapper is clearing the air and explaining the entire story.

After speaking with TMZ Live, Gates finally explained his incestual relationship and confirmed that, yes, he had a relationship with his cousin, but the love between the former couple happened in 2006.

MStars News previously reported that that video of Gates went viral after he confessed to having sex with a cousin via Instagram, revealing that he was not ashamed of the relationship.

Many of his fans started to question one of the girls on his page as the female he was in a relationship with, but Gates says the relationship is over with his cousin and never revealed if the girl whom everyone questioned was his cousin or not.

In the video below, Gates said he was dating his cousin "from 2006 to 2008." He revealed that his grandmother was the one who told him that he was related to his girlfriend at that time, and he says she told him after three months of dating.

When TMZ asked Gates if he continued having sex with his cousin, Gates said, "What you mean, of course!" He explained himself and said: "If you are doing something that you are ashamed of, you ain't got no business doing it, you heard me."

Gates adds that he previously spoke about that situation on a previous project. Though the former couple are not together anymore, Gates reveals that, "We're good friends right now."

Gates was asked, "If you rekindle your relationship with your cousin would you try to have kids with her?"

The rapper said: "To be honest I don't think I can have kids no more; I've been trying to have Baby 3 and 4."

Some suspect that Gates is about to release an album and feels his calm manor on the situation and ranting about having sex with his cousin is all about promoting his album.
