'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice, Daughters Visit Danbury Prison: 'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Daughter Gia Giudice Steps Up In Motherly Role
It has been two weeks since Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice reported to prison, and this weekend she got a surprise visit from her Jersey family. Giudice's husband Joe and the couple's four girls — Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana — made a visit to Danbury Correctional Facility where Teresa is staying to pay a visit to their dear old mommy.
Us Weekly is reporting that while the five of them were supposed to visit Teresa during her first weekend in the facility, plans fell through because their daughters had "significant activities" at home and the pair "didn't want to disrupt" any of them for the prison visit.
The news site is also reporting that it seems that most of the inmates in prison have taken a liking to Teresa, as she seems to have been what everyone is talking about.
"All anyone is talking about is that woman — even the staff," the source told the news site. "The vultures who want to be her bestie were all over here."
It seems that life at home for the Giudice's has been difficult, but eldest daughter Gia has stepped up to the mothering role, as Radar Online is reporting that she has taken over some of Teresa's responsibilities.
"Gia is stepping into the mother role," the insider explained. "It comes naturally since even when Teresa was around Gia was frequently responsible for disciplining her siblings."
Joe has also really stepped up now that Tre is behind bars.
"With their mother gone, the four are totally dependent on their dad now," the insider explained.
Teresa is looking to get out of her 15-month prison sentence almost two months early, meaning she could be home just in time for the holidays to spend with her family.
