Soundgarden New Album 2012: 'King Animal' Drops Nov. 13 [VIDEO]
The alternative rock/grunge band Soundgarden has announced they will release a new album entitled "King Animal" on Nov. 13. This will be Soundgarden's seventh studio album and will feature the first new and original music heard from the band in sixteen years (since 1996's "Down on the Up Side").
The first single off of "King Animal" will debut on Sept. 27, called "Been Away too Long."
"King Animal" will be released on Seven Four Entertainment and Republic Records. Front man Chris Cornell told Billboard back in March, "I don't really know how to describe it musically because typically with Soundgarden... every time we write a song we always take it for what it is and try to make it the most it can be. It's very diverse, I can tell you that."
Soundgarden's latest album, "Down on the Up Side," reached no. 2 on the Billboard 200. Hit Soundgarden tracks include "Black Hole Sun," "Spoonman," and "Black Rain."
