Two major super villains from the DC Comics Universe arrive in the exciting return of the CW's The Flash. As the scarlet speedster,  Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has to face off against Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) in 'Revenge of the Rogues.'

With the return of Captain Cold, Barry isn't ready to face him. With the Reverse-Flash still out there, Barry is training himself for a rematch, forgetting about his true mission. Cisco (Carlos Valdez) will work with Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) to help the police against Cold's freeze ray.

Iris (Candice Patton) is packing her things, and moving in with Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett). Things are still awkward between Barry and Iris since he told her how he felt. Joe feels for Barry's heartache while he deals with letting his own daughter go and an empty house.

While Cisco demonstrates to the police how his new shield will withstand the cold/heat, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) discovers that Ronnie's name stands for F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. The acronym is for a science paper about transmutations and genetic manipulation that Professor Stein was working on.

Captain Cold and Heat Wave arrive at an airport, firing their weapons, and steal a priceless painting. As the police arrive, their new shields protect them from their enemies. With his shield holding strong, Joe is able to get in a lucky shot and force the super villains to retreat.

Back at their hideout, Captain Cold and Heat Wave point their guns at each other. After the argument, Heat Wave makes a decision to stay in Central City and take on the red streak. After burning the painting they stole, the two then kidnap Caitlin.

Barry feels bad for the officers who got hurt against the Rogues; he should have been there. Cisco and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) realize that if the freeze ray and heat gun hit the same point, they can cancel each other out. Captain Cold and Heat Wave have to "cross streams," a reference to the movie Ghostbusters

Heat Wave and Captain Cold have sent out a video to the TV news programs. The Flash has until showdown to show up at their directions, or else Caitlin will die. Before the showdown, Heat Wave connects a bomb to Caitlin's seat and toes her mouth shut.

As the scarlet speedster shows up, Captain Cold and Heat Wave tear up the streets, firing their weapons nonstop. Eddie shows up with the shield when the Flash is knocked down. Cisco and Joe arrive at the hideout, accidentally tripping the wire to the bomb.

Joe grabs Caitlin and jumps with her before the bomb explodes. The Flash slows down enough to get the beams to finally connect. Captain Cold and Heat Wave end up losing their weapons after being thrown backwards.

With Heat Wave and Captain Cold captured, Cisco earns the respects of the police force. Things are looking up as Barry moves in with Joe. Unfortunately, Lisa Snart, Captain Cold's sister, shows up to break them out of their prison van.

The Rogues are gathering more members against The Flash. Readers, what did you think of Revenge of the Rogues?
