Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa Marriage Shunned By Family Over Race [VIDEO]: Family Members Skipped Wedding Over Racism

Model Amber Rose revealed that some of her family member did not approve of her relationship with rapper Wiz Khalifa because he was African American during her interview with OWN's "Light Girls" special that aired Monday night.

The Cape Verdean and Italian descendant revealed that despite her whirlwind love admired by fans and becoming one oh Hip Hop's favorite couples, some family members despised her marriage with the "Black and Yellow" rapper.

"With my family - they feel like they're more superior, or better than an African American, because 'we're Creole and we have culture,'" The Philadelphia native said, "And that's something that I've battled with most of my life."

The 31-year-old added, "I'm angry that my family is like that and they want to 'pass' so bad that they raised my mom and my uncles and my aunts to not fully know their culture."

According to TMZ, the actress filed divorce papers September 24 citing irreconcilable differences asking for full legal and physical custody.

The model tweeted about the rapper's infidelity being the cause of their break up, "Please stop with the fake stories. I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think u guys know this." she flipped the script and pointed her finger at Wiz for the break up due to his infidelity, "Unfortunately my now ex-husband can't say the same." She added, "I'm devastated and crushed but my main focus is [son] Sebastian. Thank u for all the support in this difficult time."
