Cheryl Cole Boyfriend Tre Holloway Meets the Fam at Hollywood Bash Despite Mama Cole Concerns

While British songstress Cheryl Cole and her current beau (and backup dancer) Tre Holloway debuted their relationship to the public just a few weeks ago, looks like things between the couple are getting pretty serious. Holloway met the close-knit Cole fam at a birthday celebration in Hollywood over the weekend where he had to confront Joan Cole, Cheryl's mom who had initially voiced concerns that Holloway could simply "be after Cheryl's money."

But according to inside sources, the "Call My Name" star urged her mother to give Holloway a chance because she thinks that he might be "the one." And looks to be that the first boyfriend-family interaction was a successful one - Cole and Holloway were photographed confidently holding hands and striding side-by-side throughout the entire weekend celebration.

Cole, 29, invited Holloway to join her for brother Garry's birthday bash at the Rosa Mexicano restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Rumors that the two were dating began to circulate after they were spotted sharing a cab and hitting up a bar together. According to one inside source who talked to Now magazine, Holloway was there for Cole after she got into a scary car crash with Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am: "As far as Cheryl's concerned, Tre was one of the few people she could lean on following her car crash on August 29 and that counts for a hell of a lot. All she wants is for her mum to give him a chance until she has a proper reason to dislike him."
