Lil Wayne Sues Birdman For $8 Million Over 'Tha Carter V,' Rapper Drops YMCMB

Rapper Lil Wayne will sue his former mentor, Birdman for $8 million over the release of his Tha Carter V album, which may lead to his release from the YMCMB label.

According to TMZ, the 32-year-old wants his money that he was promised for recording the album despite the delay in releasing the album and plans on asking the judge to be break his contract. The "Lollipop" rapper recently released his mixtape, "Sorry 4 the Wait 2," which he slammed the YMCMB's CEO in his track, "Coco."

He raps, "It's compensation over conversation / Lord I must got blurry vision, a n****s got two faces."

Dec. 11, Lil Wayne tweeted, "YM! That's it. Nothing else."

The beef started when the rapper took to twitter to vent his frustrations about his album delays and slammed the YMCMB CEO's for the pushbacks.

"To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it," he tweeted Dec. 4, "This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation."

The rapper admitted that he wanted to be released from his contract and wants to move on after many years with the label, "I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy," she said, "I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again, I am truly sorry and I don't blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u."
