Paris Hilton Gay Bashing Controversy 'Beyond Lame', Over 80 Percent Friends Are Gay
Paris Hilton has been caught in a gay bashing controversy that she refers to as "lame." An audio recording by an anonymous cab driver has been circulating around the web where Hilton was recorded having a heated conversation with friends on a cab ride.
In the audio, Hilton was saying to a friend, "Ew, ew... Gay guys are the horniest people in the world... They're disgusting." She also said, "Dude, most of them probably have AIDS."
Before you judge, Hilton was actually responding to comments that her gay male friend made inside the cab. Apparently, the friend was talking to Hilton about a new social media app that allows gay men to find sex partners in the location that they are at.
"Say I log into Grindr, someone that's on Grindr can be in that building and it tells you all the locations of where they are and you can be like, 'Yo, you wanna f**k?' and he might be on like, 'the sixth floor,' " the friend told Hilton.
An insider defended Hilton and explained to Perez Hilton that the conversation inside the cab was taken out of context.
Perez Hilton explained, "While the source concedes that she and her pals were "obviously wasted," the source explains that Paris' friends were actually just concerned about a friend of theirs in Spain who knowingly has AIDS, but still has unprotected sex with people and doesn't tell them! When Paris' pals went on to share that this Spanish friend was also actively seeking sexual partners online for unprotected sex, that's when the comments of these types of actions being "gross" and "disgusting" came into play."
Hilton's publicist also spoke out on behalf of her.
"Paris Hilton's comments were to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to a life threatening disease. The conversation became heated, after a close gay friend told her in a cab ride a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex. He also discussed a website that encourages random sex by gay men with strangers," the statement included. "Her comments were in reference to those people promoting themselves on the site. The cab driver...only provided a portion of the conversation. Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone's sexual orientation."
Paris Hilton thinks of this entire situation "beyond lame. In fact, 80% of her friends are apparently gay.
