'Marvel's Agent Carter' Recap: Will Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter Push "The Blitzkrieg Button?"
Marvel's Agent Carter returns from break with an all-new episode on ABC. With Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper)'s life in danger and wanted by the Strategic Scientific Reserve, will Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) riske her own life to save his by pushing 'The Blitzkrieg Button?'
During a sting operation, Peggy and Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) are able to rescue Howard Stark (Cooper). To return back to the states, Howard had himself smuggled in but was being held ransom by Mr. Mink. With the Strategic Scientific Reserve hunting after him, Howard needs a place to hide.
While Roger (Shea Whigham) is away on a lead, Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) is left in charge. While sneaking Howard into her apartment building, he ends up in another woman's room. With a camera pen, Howard needs Carter to sneak in. take pictures, and find out which of his inventions the SSR has.
Daniel (Enver Gjokaj) follows his own lead, which takes him to the homeless bums by the docks. The vagrant won't talk to the cops, but Daniel relates to him because they are both war veterans. Just as Daniel is getting through to the bum, Thompson offers alcohol and their snitch talks about a "woman and a man in a fancy suit."
Howard needs Carter to steal "the blitzkrieg button," which will turn out all the lights in New York and send the Big Apple to the Dark Ages. As Carter and Jarvis plan their heist, they are being followed by Mr. Mink, who wants his money from Stark. Carter notices Jarvis is nervous and pulling at his ear as they discuss the blitzkrieg button.
Roger speaks to the German Prisoner, who is hours away from being hanged. After Roger offers cyanide to avoid his hanging, the prisoner talks about a battle that never happened and a massacre that took place instead. After getting the info he needed, Roger smiles knowing his cyanide capsule is really a breath mint.
While Peggy switches the real invention with a mock-up, she takes a peek with what's inside. The device is really a container holding a vial of Captain America's blood. Before she leaves, Peggy meets with a drunk Thompson, who tells her she will never be equal to men.
When Peggy gets back home, she punches Howard in the face. Howard lied to her because he didn't want the government to get Steve's blood. His blood could be a vaccine that could save millions, but Peggy knows it's another way to increase Howard's bank account.
While Peggy and Howard are arguing, Mr. Mink sneaks his way inside into their building. Just when he is about break in, Dottie (Bridget Regan) finds him in the hallway. Dottie then kills Mr. Mink, takes his gun, and stuffs him under her bed.
Daniel looks closely at his evidence and figures out their mystery woman isn't a blonde. While meeting with Stan Lee, Howard asks Jarvis to get Peggy back on their mission. Back at the office, Roger watches the mysterious typewriter start typing by itself, sending a message directly to him.
