With the overwhelming success of Dragon Age: Inquisition, gamers are curious if BioWare will try to stick with this video game model for Mass Effect 4, the highly anticipated installment of the popular gaming franchise. Will these games look similar to each other, despite the drastic setting and story differences? Well, according to BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn, he's looking for a more unique approach to the game, though he's very proud of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Flynn has gone out of his way to address the concerns about how similar these successful titles will be to each other, detailing some exciting news for the Mass Effect franchise as well.

"We've said the next Mass Effect (and our new IP, but I won't expand on that yet) uses some of the technology from DAI. We've been enjoying building larger areas that you can explore with less friction, so that'll be there as well," Flynn revealed in a post on NeoGAF this week, according to IGN. "But after that, the next Mass Effect will be (and should be) drawing on its own rich and successful past more than what DAI would say it should do."

Flynn added: "We're very proud of what DAI has achieved, but that does not set a 'template' for what every other game we make needs to be. Each game franchise needs to innovate and improve their experience based on what's best for it ..."

What do you think of Aaryn Flynn's explanation of his 2014 hit title and the upcoming Mass Effect installment, which is still in development? Are you worried that the games will look and feel too similar? Are you hoping for that? Let us know in the comments section below!
