'Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin' PS4, Xbox One Update Includes 6-Person Gameplay In 2015
While Dark Souls II was one of the biggest video games to debut last year as the third installment of the Demon's Souls franchise, the 2015 Next-Gen NPC update dropping in April isn't just another port for the title. Entitled Scholar of the First Sin, you can expect plenty of great, updated gameplay from this game, and if you're a PS4 or Xbox One owner, you get to experience a 6-player co-op multiplayer mode that is quite different from the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. In other words, this will feel like an entirely new game!

According to a new report on the game from IGN, the Next-Gen versions of the game will completely rewrite the Dark Souls II gameplay that gamers probably are used to from last year. From Software's associate global producer for this game, Daniel Markov, explained that these changes came as a response from player input.
Besides the new feel and look of the title, the main draw to purchase this game on Next-Gen consoles if the 6-player gameplay mode.
"Thanks to the improvements in rendering and the processing capacity of the new generation consoles and PC DirectX 11 systems, 6 players can now battle online to create more epic multiplayer sessions than ever," the game's official Facebook page read in a post accompanying some new screenshots of this 6-player mode.

"This is not just a remaster," From Software's Atsuo Yoshimura told Polygon. "It's almost recreating the game."
