Lil Wayne's Cash Money 'Dead,' Mannie Fresh Supports #FreeWeezy Amid Nicki Minaj's Birdman Diss: YMCMB Creativity 'Limited,' Hip-Hop 'Prodigy' Must Grow & Expand

Maybe it's finally time for YMCMB hypeman Lil Wayne to officially move-on from Cash Money Records and embark on his own musicial adventure...

According to former CM producer Mannie Fresh, Weezy's definitely ready to take that next step (and so are his fans)!

As several MstarsNews readers already know, the "Lollipop" emcee is currently embroiled in a bitter feud with industry mogul, Birdman. Weezy considers himself an outcasted prisoner, and the ongoing delay of his new album release (The Carter V) doesn't help alleviate such tensions.

And Fresh agrees that the 32-year-old New Orleans native needs more room to grow (at least creatively).

During a pre-Grammys interview over the weekend, Fresh explains:

"I just think Wayne is growing as an artist... Wayne has given us some great albums, but he has never given us that album with like a Justin Timberlake on it - with features where like, OK, this is what we expect from an artist of your caliber... Like you went out and got Cher on the song, because you are that dude. You're on that level" (via seattlepi.com).

And sometimes, a prodigy needs to take risks in order to leave his ultimate mark on hip-hop:

"I think he's going, real talk... 'I could probably use Drake and Nicki, but I've done that so many times,'" Fresh continued. "Let's get out there and do things so I can show that I am bigger than life."

Do MstarsNews readers agree? Weezy definitely has the support to do so! Right before the Grammy Awards in LA on Sunday (February 8), The PinkPrint darling Nicki Minaj even denied Birdman entry to her exclusive pre-party. Pretty huge diss, considering the infamous CEO is her boss, too:

But if Wayne leaves, will Cash Money slowly crash and burn? That's what you get when messing with one of the hottest stars in the game!

FYI - the former Big Tymers rapper worked with CM Records from 1993-2005, so he might know what he's talking about...
