Tropical storm Nadine which started as a tropical depression has been a numbered system for 21 days. Nadine is among top five longest lived storms in the Atlantic. The storm is tied for fifth place with hurricane #4 (1926) and is right behind hurricane Kyle (2002) 22 days, Hurricane Inga (1969) 24.75 days, Hurricane Ginger (1971) at 27.25 days, and lastly, Hurricane #3 (1899) at 28 days. Hurricane Nadine is expected to a tropical storm for another 1.25 days, which by then will beat out hurricane #4 and become the fourth longest lived tropical storm.

Nadine seems to be weakening according to weather advisory, the storm's winds sustained at 50 mph. The storm is located 405 miles from the Azores islands. The Portuguese island natives are tired of the storm that made its third pass Tuesday. Since then, the Portuguese government issued a tropical storm watch. A Meteorologist at Accweather.com, Mark Paquette said, "You usually don't see a tropical storm stick around at 35 degrees northern latitude for very long."

Nadine surfaced September 11 and has been transitioning as a sub-tropical storm, tropical storm, and a category 1 hurricane. The storm has been growing weak and strong throughout the month of September and is expected to weaken permanently soon, however, with the yo-yo effect who's to say it will not bounce right back?

Side Bar: Topical Storm Oscar is taking on the northeast and the African Coast, but it isn't expected to last as long or near as long as Nadine.
