EPL Standings Leaders Chelsea FC Racist Fans' UEFA Champions League Paris Metro Attack Victim Speaks Out [VIDEO] Jose Mourinho & Teams Condemn Supporters, Justice Sought
While we can definitely say that the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg match between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC was an exciting draw, we're sorry to report that some events after the match have us all shaking our heads. Taking the Paris Metro back from stadium, a rowdy group of Chelsea fans that traveled to France for the game wouldn't let a Black man onto the train car, and then proceeded to verbally attack the woman with racial slurs. This week, the EPL standings leaders have condemned this group of supporters, saying that once identified they will be banned from future Chelsea matches. Plus, the victim has spoken out against his attackers, asking for justice to be served.

A video posted on The Guardian (via The Daily Mail) shows the abuse in action with this group of fans chanting, "We're racist, and that's the way we like it," among other things. The football club obviously isn't happy with these fans, and is willing to enforce a ban on any that are discovered having been involved in the attack.
"Such behavior is abhorrent and has no place in football or society," the Chelsea Football Club said in a statement this week. "We will support any criminal action against those involved, and should evidence point to involvement of Chelsea season-ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them, including banning orders."

Meanwhile, the victim in the above video, Souleymane S, has come forward to address the attacks made on him earlier this week.
"These people, these English fans, must be found, punished and locked up," he told the French newspaper Le Parisien. "They can't be allowed to get away with it."
The 33-year-old went on to recount the events of that day, saying he didn't understand what his attackers were saying since he doesn't speak English, but did realize that whatever was going on was related to Chelsea and the color of his skin. Meanwhile, Chelsea's EPL match this weekend against Burnley is the annual Game for Equality.
