'Deep Down' PS4 Gameplay News, Release Date Delayed [VIDEO] Capcom Shares Development Update
If you've been worried about the status of the highly anticipated, free-to-play RPG Deep Down, we have some great news for you this week. Though we haven't heard about the title for quite some time, the developers over at Capcom have not forgotten the PlayStation 4 exclusive project and are still working on it. In fact, the game's producer, Yoshinori Ono recently sat down for an interview, explaining that whatever release date was in mind for the game has been delayed due to more changes being made to the gameplay.

While speaking with the Japanese gaming website 4Gamer (which was translated by Siliconera), Ono revealed that we could be seeing some changes in the next gameplay trailer or footage released by Capcom.
"It looks like Deep Down will take just a little longer. It also looks like some people are starting to ask 'Did the development come to a halt?' but it's nothing like that," the video game producer said, according to IGN. "We're thinking about showing something that looks completely different from what previously shown, although it might be a while from now."
From what we've seen of this title, it looked like a cool RPG with time travel and "real world" elements involved. Perhaps one of those layers would be dropped in these changes Ono is talking about?
"The ideas we have for the game are much larger now compared to when we first announced it," he continued. "Rather, the ideas we had before might not have been good enough. When looking back at the previous ideas we had for Deep Down, we felt concerns about it not being able to capture an audience as we would've liked, so it was decided to give it more time so that we can further enhance it."
