Season 3 of The Americans continues with the spy couple going on their new mission on FX. With Paige (Holly Taylor)'s life on the line, will Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings do "unsavory things" to their latest target, Kimberly (Julia Garner)?

In our previous recap, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) was leading the car chase as the FBI were in pursuit of Elizabeth once again. Luckily, Philip was able to make the call back to his base and cause a distraction. Finally, Philip and Elizabeth were able to get back on track and locate the figurehead of the CIA Afghan Group.

In our recent recap, Philip and Elizabeth went after the head of the organization through his daughter, Kimberly (Garner). Introducing himself as Jim, Philip was able to gain Kimberly's trust by getting fake IDs for her and her friends. On their date, with YAZ playing in the background, Kimberly put her arm around Philip's neck and rested her head on his chest.

The Hollywood Reporter points out that Kimberly is a young girl around Paige's age. Kimberly just might be the example to Phillip and Elizabeth of what it may look like if Paige were to enter into her parents' line of work.

In an interview with THR, Rhys describes his alter ego, "Jim is a tough character to pull off. He's a challenge for me because sometimes you're presented with a character that has to do some unsavory things, but you can't attack it from a judgmental point of view, as much as you find it hard, you have to find a justification as to why people do these things. There's a very clear justification, but in the execution, it's devious."

When asked about the future of the show, Rhys adds, "I'd want more of those long, incredibly emotional scenes with Elizabeth. They would be painful and ugly but incredibly releasing. I think there's a long way for Phillip to go with the sort of vomiting of truth. It's still pent up in there and ready to come out. That could easily take two seasons. And I would also love for them to defect and for them to become double agents, in order to safeguard their children's futures."
