Big Bird appeared on SNL's "Weekend Update" segment standing at 8-feet tall next to anchor, Seth Meyers. The crowd got extremely excited after they saw the Sesame Street character beside the comedian a week after he received a million tweets on twitter about the Presidential Debate.

Early this week presidential candidate, Mitt Romney said, "I like PBS; I love Big Bird!... But I'm not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for it." When Meyers asked him how he felt about that he declined to comment, he said he didn't want to "ruffle any feathers."

Meyers asked Big Bird how he found out he was mentioned in the debate Bird replied, "Oh, I got a million Tweets." That night twitter seen a spike in tweets about Big Bird, which became a trending topic during debate night and received 135K tweets per minute.

Meyers then ask if the most famous bird in the world was on Twitter and Big Bird denied saying, "No, I'm a bird. Tweeting is how we talk." Big Bird said he knew what a twitter was because Sesame Street had Wi-Fi.

In a week when Big Bird was in the news, it seemed fitting to find him perched at the parody news report on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." Towards the end of the segment Big Bird wanted to end it with a joke:

Question: Who like debates?
