Two People Shot at Young Jeezy, T.I., Yo Gotti Party in Charlotte Over the Weekend
MStars News has learned that two people were shot over the weekend while attending a party that included Young Jeezy and T.I. as the guest host. According to the Charlotte Observer, shots were fired inside popular NC Music Factory nightclub Label in Charlotte, North Carolina, around 7 p.m., police revealed. The well-known spot was hosting a day party called CIAA Weekend Takeover, featuring Jeezy, T.I. and Yo Gotti.
The rappers were among the celebrities in town to celebrate one of Charlotte's biggest annual events, the CIAA college basketball tournament, but it's unclear it this party was a endorsed CIAA event.
According to the (New York) Daily News, all three rappers were performing onstage when the shots rang out.
When the emergency team arrived, one woman who suffered a gunshot wound was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center, police revealed, as the other victim was sent to the same hospital. Both had non-threatening injuries. Another party featuring P. Diddy was scheduled to start at Label at 10 p.m. Here's video of the rapper partying in the VIP section.
Label's management team issued a statement that read:
"Please be advised that an incident occurred this evening at Label following an event. The exact circumstances concerning the incident have yet to be determined. Officials at Label are cooperating with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department concerning their investigation of this matter. Tonight's events at Label will take place as scheduled. It should be noted that there will continue to be very substantial security for all Label events during tournament weekend. And Label remains fully committed to the safety and security of its patrons."
