Robin Roberts Treatment Update: Good Morning America Anchor Twitter and Blog Reports She is Glad to Back Home After Transplant
Robin Roberts updated everyone on Twitter that she is glad to be home after a long stay in the hospital for a bone marrow transplant. Her treatment for MDS was successful and she is now recovering from the rare cancer.
She tweeted, "There's no place like home. After 30 days in the hospital I'm home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Thank YOU and bless YOU. XO"
Roberts received her bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally-Ann, and her body has adjusting well so far. Her immune system is very weak and she will need to protect her weak health with a mask and gloves, Roberts' doctor explained on Good Morning America.
Roberts updated also from her blog.
"So I will still be resting away from GMA until I'm given the all clear, but sleeping in my own bed again feels like a big victory," she wrote.
The Good Morning America colleagues have been sharing updates to GMA viewers through video messages.
There are many supporting Roberts as she bravely endures the process of the recovery.
