Life is never boring for Leonardo DiCaprio. The Wolf of Wall Street star recently inked a first look deal with Netflix, specifically for documentaries, after the success of his film Virunga. And after spending some time in front of the paparazzi camera with all those Rihanna dating rumors, our guess is it's probably best he stay behind-the-scenes for a little while.

Not for too long, of course. We do love the guy's acting!

Anyway, it's being reported by Deadline that DiCaprio's deal entails him mixing "philanthropy and conservation themes." Often times, documentary films such as these get much play at festivals, and are highly regarded, but the truth is afterwards they seem to plateau or merely fall down the hill with others of their ilk. Thanks to Netflix, however, documentary filmmakers can rest ... easier ... knowing that there is at least one platform out there supporting them.

Not to mention at least one A-list actor.

In his deal, DiCaprio will act as both a producer and executive producer during all the films and any docu-series that should arise from it.

Check out the trailer for DiCaprio's Acadamy Award nominated documentary, Virunga, here:

On working with the streaming service, DiCaprio has said, "Working with Netflix on Virunga has sparked a shared vision about projects that we want to develop and bring to viewers. There's never been a more critical time for our planet or more of a need for gifted storytellers to help us all make sense of the issues we face.

"Through this partnership with Netflix, I hope to give documentary filmmakers doing urgent and important work the chance to have their films seen immediately by audiences all around the world."
