WWE NXT Preview 3/4/15 Featuring Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Rhyno, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Tyler Breeze
The March 4, 2015 edition of WWE's NXT will air on the WWE Network at 8 p.m. Eastern tonight and will feature an NXT Women's Championship match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte.
Ric Flair's daughter has repeatedly stated that The Boss has never beaten her in a one-on-one match, but Sasha is still the Women's Champion. Charlotte gets her chance tonight to recapture the gold, but will she get the job done?
We could also hear from former NXT Champion Sami Zayn tonight for the first time since he lost the belt to Kevin Owens at Takeover: Rival. Owens powerbombed Zayn into oblivion in the main event that night and took the title by referee stoppage, and we haven't heard from Zayn since. Will he finally show his face again tonight and let the fans know what is going through his mind?
Finn Balor is the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship, but Rhyno remains in the picture and it seems the artist formerly known as Prince Devitt will need to contend with the ECW star before he gets a shot at the gold. How will this all shake out tonight?
Hideo Itami also has some beef with Tyler Breeze. Will Prince Pretty get the upper hand on the Japanese star? Or will Hideo finally make his first NXT victim Go to Sleep?
In case you missed it, here are the results from last week's show, which begins with a match between Hideo Itami and Bull Dempsey.
Itami picks up the win with a flying one-legged dropkick for the win. After the match, Tyler Breeze pops up and superkicks Itami while he's celebrating in the ring. He goes to take a selfie, but Hideo recovers and tussles with him in the ring. Breeze escapes and retreats up the ramp.
Solomon Crowe hacks into the show from somewhere backstage. He says his goal is to become NXT Champion.
The Lucha Dragons defeat Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan when Kalisto hits Salida Del Sol on Dillinger and Sin Cara nails him with a senton splash. After a commercial break, Dillinger is still in the ring. He yells for his partner, who had bailed on him at the end of the match, to come back out so he can kick his ass. Baron Corbin comes out instead and squashes Dillinger in 15 seconds with the End of Days to pick up a victory.
Becky Lynch defeats Bayley with a modified armbar submission.
Rhyno is backstage and says people are talking about NXT everywhere he goes. He saw all these wrestlers with intensity and desire, and he saw that same intensity in the mirror. He came here to make a statement, and he will do that by goring everyone in sight.
Finn Balor defeats The Brian Kendrick with NXT Champion Kevin Owens on commentary. Owens has a tense exchange with Alex Riley and eventually takes the title belt and leaves. Balor wins the match with the flying double foot stomp. The No. 1 Contender celebrates in the ring while Owens watches from the entrance ramp. Owens heads back to the commentary table, attacks Alex Riley, and tosses him over the table.
As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action. But for now, let us know your predictions and guesses for tonight's show in the comments section.
