"Am I the best equipped to stop Spurs because I spent nine years there? I don't know," the QPR manager explained to the press this week. "I enjoyed nine great years at Spurs. They're stacked with talent and they've got a very good manager in Mauricio [Pochettino]. I've got nothing to prove to anyone at Tottenham. We know how important this game is and we're focused on what we do. It's up to me to maximize our players' abilities. I need to get the best out of the players we have at QPR. That's my focus."

Meanwhile, Pochettino is warning his Spurs to be wary of the powerful QPR squad today.
"We expect a very tough game," the coach said, according to The Hackney Gazette. "QPR are a strong team, they are playing at home and it will be a very difficult game. It's a local derby and the three points will be important for them and for us."
