Jason Aldean Cheating Scandal With Brittany Kerr Update: 'Working Through It' With Wife Jessica Ussery
When country star Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr hit headlines a couple of weeks ago with intimate photos of the two in a Los Angeles bar, the nation was shocked. The husband to Jessica Ussery and father to two children admitted his horrible mistake and is now trying to rebuild trust and respect with his family.
Aldean told Taste of Country that he is still not used to all the fame that comes with his success. His early days in country music were different from the sudden thrust into the spotlight.
“Like once this all started to happen, you’re so used to life being a certain way and all of a sudden in a blink of an eye it changes and it changes not only you but it changes the way everybody around you looks at you and it’s been a learning experience. It’s something I kind of still deal with and still try to figure out on a daily basis,” he told Taste of Country.
He also told NBC Experience Store on Monday (October 15) while promoting his new album Night Train, "When it comes to fame, obviously you take the good with the bad."
About the cheating scandal, he said, "Family's good, we're workin' through it. We're tryin' to move on, that's the biggest thing. And, hopefully, people will allow us the privacy to do that—and that's kinda it."
Aldean admitted after the cheating incident on his Facebook page, "The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."
His new album Night Train drops today, October 16, 2012.
