RHONY might want to change its name to The Real Housewife of New York, as it seems that one of the leading ladies is calling all the shots for the upcoming Season 7. Returning star Bethenny Frankel, who has secured a pretty cool seven-figure paycheck for her involvement on the series, has also managed to gain some creative control over the show. Turns out Frankel has the ultimate say over which footage the producers can use.

According to Radar Online, the star had one condition about coming back to the show, and that was being able to see the footage before they put it on the air.

"Bethenny wanted control over any footage she was included in," the insider explained. "She didn't want to come across as pathetic in the aftermath of her failed talk show and doomed marriage. Bravo balked at first, but realized Bethenny wouldn't come back without it."

It seems Frankel didn't want to be painted in a negative light, and Countess LuAnn De Lesseps recently revealed during an appearance on Watch What Happens: Live that viewers would be seeing a new side of Bethenny and that the former talk show host wouldn't be getting along with people whom fans would assume she would.

"She gets along with people you wouldn't expect her to get along with and hates people that you wouldn't expect," the countess explained to Andy Cohen. "It's exciting to watch her work it with all the girls and we talk a lot about the old days, too, so I think you're going to see some of the moments from the old days, I hope."

The new season of The Real Housewives of New York will premiere April 7 on Bravo.
