'Thicker Than Water' Couple, Marcus and Tish Tankard Welcome Newborn Baby Boy! [PHOTOS]
Congrats are in order for the Tankard family, as Marcus and Tish Tankard welcomed their first child, a baby boy into the world.
According to Bravo TV, the couple gave birth to a baby boy who they named Micah Anthony Tankard last month on Feb. 25 in Murfreesboro. Baby Micah weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.
When Bravo asked the new parents how they were feeling about the birth of their son, the proud mom and dad said: "Our hearts are so full. We never thought we could love someone as much as we love our little angel. Baby Tankard is truly heaven sent-absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. Mommy and daddy are blessed beyond measure."
Since the birth of their son, the happy family has been sharing photos with fans of their hit show, Thicker Than Water via Instagram. "Taking Baby Tankard home earlier today. The past two days have been Heaven on earth! I'm sooooo in love!! Thanks everyone for all of your prayers, sweet comments, texts, and phone calls," the new mother wrote in the image below.
Baby Tankard looks just like his father, Marcus and he's not even a month old yet.
During an interview with Cocoa Fab, the couple revealed some things that they experienced during pregnancy. "We were actually surprised when we found out I was pregnant because we had been trying for ten months. We wanted a baby so bad and we tried everything and did lots of research online and looked up what to eat, what positions to use and ovulation calendars," Tish told the online site.
"I would take a pregnancy test every month and get so discouraged when I didn't see those two pink lines. Eventually we realized it was just stressing us out so we just gave it over to God and relaxed and then it happened." As to why they choose the name Micah, Tish said, "I always loved the name Micah because the meaning of it is "who is like God" and Micah is in the Bible. Plus, it's an M name like Marcus." As for the upbringing of their son. Marcus, and Tish has a village of family members (seen below).
But Marcus says he is relying on God when it comes to raising his son.
"I don't know how you prepare to be a father. The real practical how-to guides aren't there for men but the good thing is I'm here with me and he gives me worlds of wisdom here and there. I just rely on God," the new dad said.
"My dad wasn't there for the first the first six years so I don't have a pattern to go by. I don't want to say I'm making it up as I go along but in a sense I kind of am just feeling it out."
Thank godness his father is right by his side in the photo below.
