'Legacy Of The Void' Will End 'StarCraft' Video Game Story, But Not Universe Future - Blizzard's 2015 Closed Beta Details Revealed
Blizzard revealed this week that StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void will officially bring the story of the popular video game franchise to an end, but that doesn't mean that the universe will end with it! In a new interview this week, a representative for the gaming company explained that StarCraft will live on past this latest installment, which has a closed Beta gameplay test approaching, but the main story of StarCraft will conclude. "StarCraft will live on as a universe," this representative explained to IGN this week. "We hope to explore some other aspects of the universe, but the storyline that was setup in StarCraft I and continued in StarCraft II will resolve in Legacy of the Void. All of those main characters will reach a nice satisfying conclusion."

Legacy of the Void's first closed Beta testing will take place at the end of this month, with plenty of gamers attempting to access the gameplay with passcodes and keys. In a recent blog post on Blizzard's official website, we learned a bit more of what to expect from this Beta (via Kotaku).
"As you are likely aware, we've been trying to be as open as possible with the status of our development, and strongly believe that the increased cooperation between developers and players is beneficial to StarCraft II," the company said. "To be clear, our goal for this expansion is to work together with all of you to make Legacy of the Void as awesome as possible."
